I’m reading the postings on Twitter
As a new women’s team’s born at Notts
And I’m filled with unspeakable anger
And it’s tying my stomach in knots

They’re putting their trust in the people

And the humbug and cant make me cry

A sick evil lie that is vile
Those who know the truth remain silent
And it fills up my belly with bile
But I made a good friend in East Sussex
Where both their teams have the same slate
So I’ll cheer the Rookettes and drink Harveys
And join the cry ‘Unlock the Gate!’
