Still The Same
Feb. 26th, 2014 06:54 pmDoctor's surgery twice today. First up wax my long-delayed hypertension review. I'd feared the worst after a succession of stressful events both in and out of the workplace the last few days, but thank goodness my second reading was 132/86, good enough to satisfy the nurse that I can just keep taking the 10 mg dose. She asked me a few questions about exercise, diet and stuff and noted with approval how my weight had dropped from 17 st at my physical and mental low point last July to 14 st 7 lb today (I did go down to 14 st 4 lb a week or two ago; been overdoing the biscuits at work lately, I'm sorry to say), then cleared me to keep taking the tablets for another nine months.
Then late in the afternoon saw a doctor about the persistent blocked nose I've had for months and told her I wonder if it might be a mucus plug. She looked into my nostrils with a device and said she couldn't see anything external, though that didn't rule out anything further up. She advised me to put Olbas oil in a tub of hot water and sit bent over it with a towel over my head.
