Girls On Film

Watched the England v Canada women's friendly streamed live on the FA's website this afternoon. It was a surreal experience. Every few seconds the picture and sound froze momentarily, giving the commentary a stutter and making the players appear to move in slo-mo, then once every one or two minutes it would jump forward back to real time. That resulted in us missing the only goal of the game, deep in injury time. One moment the ball had just left Fara Williams' foot out on the wing while Ellen White ran into the box to meet it, the next the ball was in the back of the net. Fortunately there were a couple of action replays.

Great comeback by Valentino Rossi in the MotoGP after a bad start, Lorenzo's going to take some beating this season but Rossi's performance gives me hope he'll be in with a shout. Despite his ricket today I also think Cal Crutchlow will have a good season.
