Called up the Non League News 24 vidiprinter just before 3 pm intending to spend the afternoon with one eye on the Hawks' fortunes at Basingstoke and the other on Jeff Stelling and Co. It was only when I got a text from Malc to say Muzzy had equalised for Hawks that I realised no-one from Basingstoke was sending any updates to the vidiprinter. A quick surf revealed that Conference South Live Scores wasn't getting anything from them either and the other Non League Vidiprinter doesn't exist any more. So I had to switch to Radio Solent, listening out for news from Basingstoke amid the commentary on Portsmouth v Blackburn. There was no more, and a little before 4.45 I put Soccer Saturday back on without sound waiting for confirmation of the full time score. 1-1 it remained; while a draw isn't bad away to a decent side like Basingstoke, it really does look like curtains for our chances of reaching the play-offs.
