Feb. 6th, 2010 06:56 pmMet up with Malc, Aly and some more of the Hawk Travel crowd in The Heron for a couple of pre-match jars, and in my case lunch (chicken caesar salad) - everyone very happy with the return of Joe Tabiri and Luke Medley on loan, though we weren't sure if the paperwork would have been completed to allow them to play today. On to the clubhouse to catch up with Mark, Simon, Angie and Steph.
Both Tabiri and Medley were on the bench. The opening half hour of the match was deadly dull. Then Wes Fogden's legs were chopped from under him just inside the penalty area, Manny Williams hit home the spot-kick and the game was set alight. Hawks ran out 3-2 winners, Joe and Luke getting a run-out near the end.
