Dec. 2nd, 2008 10:20 pmArrived in the unit this afternoon to be greeted by Phil saying "They lost, then?"
"Drew," I corrected him.
"What? With Braintree?"
"Yes." He insisted the paper had said we'd lost 1-0. I explained that Jamie Collins had equalised in the fourth minute of time added on. Phil showed me the newspaper that actually showed our result as a 1-0 loss.
"The reporter must have left early," I said.
"Well, it is the Daily Mail, you can never rely on them." Phil and I don't agree on many things, but with that observation I wholeheartedly concur. Phil went on to say it was Bev who'd first spotted the inaccurate scoreline and had been worried I'd be in a bad mood today.
My nose was less of a problem this shift, but I was hampered in interviewing a little by having a throatful. Didn't cough up anything of substance, though. On the bright side I flogged two books of HawkSupport raffle tickets to co-workers and got promises to buy two more on Thursday.
Got to go watch Screenwipe.
