Jun. 18th, 2008 07:27 pmAt 6.55 my mother rang to say they were at Gatwick and about to get the taxi home, and to ask me to pop to Asda and buy a loaf of 50/50 in case my father wanted toast when they arrived. That wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't already walked down to Asda at tea time to replenish our Utterly Butterly and Vegemite, as we were out of the former and nearly out of the latter.
But when I did arrive at Asda this time round, I was greeted with a hearty hello by my old drama teacher, Mr "Black Jack" Essex, and his wife, my old French teacher. They asked what I was doing now and we wished each other all the best.
On my way to the checkout from the bread aisle I passed the nuts and couldn't resist a bag of KP Salt & Vinegar flavour nuts for tonight's match. Haven't had those in ages.
Got to go watch Sweden v Russia.
