May. 6th, 2008 05:06 pmWent to Rowlands pharmacy on Stoke Road to replenish my Benadryl Plus supply only to be told they no longer stock it. After they consulted some guide book or other, the ladies there said it must have been withdrawn from 1 April as it contains pseudoephedrine. I pointed out that I'd bought some from Lloyds last week and they said those must have been old stock which they shouldn't have sold. I had no choice but to settle for some ordinary Benadryl, and they only sold 24-packs. Hope they're adequate for purpose and I'm not sneezing all over the shop for the next eight days...
Only one hour's driving lesson this afternoon as Peter got a call on Friday that there'd be a meeting of all the local instructors for his company in Southampton this evening. He wasn't impressed with the short notice. Spent the hour driving round the car park, honing my push-pull steering, stopping and gear change technique. It went OK. My only problem was that many times I thought I was holding the clutch at the bite, but in fact the clutch kept creeping upwards and so the car cut out. Peter's happy enough with my progress, though, and next week we may be going out on the roads.
