This morning it was a full tin of CELEBRATIONS on the nibbles table! It was agony walking past several times without dipping in - but I managed it.
About an hour and a half into the shift Janet walked around carrying a board asking people to stay on until 3 pm. Not being in a position to turn down the chance of a few quid, I gave her a thumbs-up (I was in mid-interview at the time) and stayed on the extra hour. That meant a visit to the canteen at lunchtime, where one of the veg choices of the day was delicious broad beans :)
Mercifully, the 3.40 bus arrived at Fareham in time for me to sprint over to catch the 3.55 bus and dodge the A32 crawl.
Home to find a birthday card from Hardcore Sue. Two months early.
At ECDL class tonight, we were back in our rightful place while the other lot were parked on the other side of the room. Flew through the PowerPoint mock exams pretty quickly despite having to think over a couple of sticky points - and though I made a boob on each one, I realised where I'd slipped up just after handing the print-outs in. With nearly an hour of class still left, I decided to give the real exam a try. It seemed to go smoothly (fingers crossed) and Pathenia was shocked how quickly I finished. Still had half an hour left to make a start on Information and Communication.
And Hawks won 2-0 at Thurrock *airhorn*
