Sue then said she'd seen a pic of my mother, complete with mayoral chain, in The News and kept me chatting for a while about my civic duties; she reckons me ma 'owes me' for making me use holidays to attend functions.
During the last hour, Molly passed a note round saying 'Please finish at 2.25'. By happy coincidence, I got finished on my last interview at precisely 2.25, so was able to hear Heather #1 getting presented with a bracelet for her 50th birthday. I say 'hear', as while everyone else assembled in a circle I was busy inputting my payclaim and packing up my stuff. (Joined in the round of applause.) No-one minded, as they knew I had a bus to dash for. And dash I had to, as while I was on my way out of the door Phil and Lin picked that precise moment to ask my opinion of Scooch's Eurovision entry...
