Oct. 21st, 2006 03:30 pmJust got back from shopping duty again. As my mother was getting a full week's shopping in, carrying it all posed a problem. My father came up with the idea of us loading the groceries into his massive sports hold-all and taking one handle each.
The trouble was, we had so much stuff that the hold-all was so heavy the rough handles cut into our fingers, so my mother asked to stop every hundred yards or so. As we rounded a corner less than halfway home, she asked if I wanted to swap hands - I had to remind her that she couldn't very well change to her bad arm!
Fingers red raw.
