Oct. 14th, 2006 06:41 pmWas eating a Whopper on the ferry to Portsmouth when I noticed one of four teenage chavettes on the table next to mine looking over her shoulder at me. I ignored her and carried on eating, then she made a 'Eurgh!' noise. The girls all laughed among themselves - thank goodness, I couldn't hear what they were saying - then another of them took a photo of me, in the middle of eating! They carried on having a laugh, and the first girl kept looking over her shoulder at me for the rest of the ride.
On the train to Havant, got talking to a lady who was taking her four kids to an auction at her mother's home in Emsworth. (No, she wasn't auctioning the kids!) One of the boys clearly wished he was going to the Portsmouth v West Ham game with a lot of the people in our carriage.
Hawks beat Carshalton 2-0, an early Neil Sharp strike from a goalmouth scramble and Rocky with a penalty just after the break after Carl Wilson-Denis was chopped down in front of goal. Rocky spooned a good chance over the bar when clear on goal, but Carshalton never really threatened. They'd brought a couple of dozen fans who sang non-stop through most of the first half, but our second goal quietened them. Into the next round of the FA Cup :)
