To the main Post Office this morning to post my inland Christmas cards. There was a hell of a queue there - clearly lots of people had the same idea.

Very tasty Southern Fried Chicken at lunch in the canteen.

Just after 7.30 pm, on a mini break, I spotted McCoy's Sour Cream and Chive Jackets in the vending machine in our lounge and craved a packet. I nipped back onto the telephone unit floor to fetch 50p from my jacket, but after the machine took my money, when I keyed in 17 for the Jackets the little display screen said 'Out Of Order'. "Out of order? What kind of talk is that?" I found myself saying out loud, after trying a second time with the same result. The mechanism carrying the Jackets looked no different from any of those carrying the other bags of crisps, but the machine had decided there was something wrong. I had to settle for Flame Grilled Steak McCoys.

Checking my Facebook on my last break, I noticed Bev, from our unit, had blocked me. Nice way to treat someone who sent you a Christmas card today (I didn't actually see her, I left it in the folder where internal paper communications are sent, but she'd collected it by the end of the day).

My father came to give me a lift home. Searching the stations, we came on a report from the Swansea-Horsham match - Swansea had scored six. Swansea it is, then.

Sour cream and chives is always better than flame grilled steak, but then again I'm not that huge of a meat-eater.

Oh, you have Facebook too? My problem with it is that I spend far more time there than I do on LJ.

I can very easily spend too much time on Facebook - there's been plenty of nights I've pottered around on it until after 1 am when I have work next morning...

Congrats on Hrvatska qualifying for Euro 2008 - and you should get through your group easily enough, unlike my Holland in the Group of Death :(

I'm rather happy about the qualifying. I hope to catch some games at a pub next year. Don't lose hope on Holland. It's a tough group but Holland is pretty talented.

I strongly recommend you acquire a TV with the necessary channels for your home, as in your time zone the games are a bit early for the pubs! Here's Croatia's schedule with kick-off times in PDT so you can plan your viewing and book time off work:

I don't think I've ever been blocked on fb - how do you find that out?

She's disappeared from my friends list, she doesn't turn up when I search for her name, and in place of her, in anything she's posted on my page or anyone else's or done on any application, all I see is a question mark. Her name is still in my archive of old notifications, but black and unlinking.

She may have deleted her profile then - does she show up on any of your other friends' profiles or in groups?

Stevi sometimes randomly deletes his profile only to re-instate it at a later date and that happens to me too.

When I look at our only mutual friend's Friends list, it gives her Friends total as 15 but shows me only 13 people. So blocking could hide her from me everywhere? (I won't get to speak to our mutual friend until Friday, so don't know if Bev has disappeared from hers too.)
