My steering came on leaps and bounds today and I've got the change from first to second gear licked, but when turning I still can't stay inside the white parking space lines worth shit, stopping the car after reversing ready to move forward has me bamboozled and my rolling second to first gear changes are still on the wonky side. We're working on holding the car still while waiting at junctions then moving again, but I'm stalling a lot there. Peter reckons I'm being too heavy footed. For the third week in a row he's talking about maybe getting out on the road next time, but I think I'm going to be driving round the rugby club car park for a while yet.

Got to go watch Eurovision Semi-Final 1 - with a Coke, as though my stomach's been settled yesterday and today I'm not about to risk alcohol just yet. We in the UK don't have a vote tonight, so we are powerless to stop Dustin the Turkey getting to the final. Do the right thing, Europe - and please vote Slovenia and the Netherlands through.

Well done on your lessons! I had a fab one today, have been town driving for the last two lessons, my hill starts are still a bit rubbish and I forgot to go down a gear from third when turning a corner, but I really enjoyed my lesson which is a first! I found out in my last two lessons that I was stalling and braking too hard as I was using the wrong part of my foot, sounds nonsense but when I finally got my foot placing right, I've found the whole holding it still then moving without the handbrake thing easier.
