My e-mail account is now closed to me.

Either some bastard has hacked it and changed the password, or Yahoo have de-activated it. So if you've received a suspicious-looking e-mail from my account today, it wasn't me.

Just spent two hours changing over my Facebook, Myspace, forum memberships etc. to my secondary account at Hotmail, now elevated to numero uno. And now I face an evening of e-mailing my friends and contacts one by one to tell them the news. Worst of all, there was some stuff in that account I was keeping, and some contacts held there that I don't have anywhere else, now all lost for good. Plus there were one or two people whose e-mail addresses I don't have anywhere else so I now have to write them letters to let them know.

I emailed Yahoo customer support on Monday evening. This evening they got back to me and said my Yahoo account had been reinstated, which it has, but after all the hassle I've been through changing everything and telling everyone to use my Hotmail address, I'm keeping Hotmail as my main account now. I have to keep the Yahoo one open for Myspace (you can't change your email address there), but that's it.
